From Sketchbook to Finished Design

Every finished pattern has a story that begins long before it reaches fabric or paper.

The creative process usually starts outdoors with a sketchbook in hand. Whether I’m walking along the Devon coastline, exploring woodland paths or simply observing the changing seasons, I collect ideas through quick sketches, notes and colour studies.

Back in the studio, these drawings are carefully refined while preserving the character of each hand-drawn line. Rather than aiming for perfection, I embrace the natural imperfections that give every design warmth and authenticity.

Once completed, the artwork is thoughtfully prepared for printing using trusted production partners who share a commitment to quality and sustainable practices. From art prints to textiles and wallpaper, every product is created with care and designed to become part of a home for years to come.

For me, the process is just as meaningful as the finished piece. Every sketch carries a memory, and every design tells a story inspired by the natural world.
